US President Donald Trump stated that suspects in an alleged terror plot targeting the Royal Air Force (RAF) Fairford air base were "looking to do big damage". This declaration came during remarks made to reporters regarding a foiled plot in southwest England.

Five individuals, all British nationals, were released on bail by UK authorities, which prompted Trump's reaction. He emphasized that he would not have released the suspects under such circumstances and expressed concern over the decision made by the UK police.

The UK police issued tight bail conditions for the suspects following their release, as they continue to investigate the incident. As part of the investigation, counter-terrorism police maintained a presence around the site.

Claims have emerged linking the case to Iran, although Trump declined to provide specific details regarding this connection. This followed statements from the Iranian embassy, which denied any involvement in the matter.

The situation has drawn attention from various political figures, with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressing concerns about foreign influence in the alleged plot. Local residents who were evacuated from approximately 85 homes near the air base have since returned home as the investigation continues.

The police are actively analyzing evidence related to the incident, including several vehicles that were cordoned off for examination. This ongoing investigation remains a focus for both US and UK authorities as they assess the potential implications of the suspects' actions.
