U.S. President Donald Trump stated that if Democrats win the midterm elections, he will become 'Mr. Veto' and block Congressional initiatives. He made this remark in an interview with the New York Post, where he also promoted the economic successes of his administration, mentioning record employment rates to encourage voter turnout.

According to polls, Democrats lead with 52% of voter intentions, compared to 45% for Republicans. This scenario has raised concerns within the Republican Party, which is seeking to maintain control of both chambers of Congress in the elections scheduled for November 3.

Trump also emphasized that his message to voters is that 'there have never been so many Americans employed.' He believes that keeping the majority in Congress would prevent political conflicts and the need to negotiate with Democrats after the elections.

In addition to his promises to veto proposals, Trump warned that if Democrats achieve a significant victory, the United States will be 'finished.' This statement reflects anxiety within his administration about the potential changes that could occur if the opposition gains power.

Amid this situation, the Republican leader is mobilizing his supporters, adapting his campaign strategy to energize the base. He declared that if necessary, he plans to govern through executive orders if Republicans lose legislative control.

Trump's comments coincide with a backdrop of increasing public discontent, which could influence voter turnout as the elections approach. The White House, for its part, is devising strategies to tackle challenges that may arise in the remaining two years of his term, regardless of the election outcome.
