TUI is contemplating a reduction in the number of aircraft stationed in Belgium due to an increasing flight tax, according to De Tijd and L'Echo.

TUI is exploring the possibility of reducing the number of aircraft stationed in Belgium. This would follow a similar decision by Ryanair in response to the recently increased flight tax.

According to reports from the newspapers De Tijd and L'Echo, TUI is considering adjusting its fleet in response to the higher tax burden in Belgium.

TUI's decision comes at a time when the tax climate in Belgium is perceived negatively by airlines.

Ryanair has previously announced plans to reduce its fleet in Belgium for similar reasons, and TUI may now follow this example.
