Two women have died in a mudslide in the Spanish province of León, which experienced heavy rainfall.

In the Spanish province of León, two women have died due to a mudslide. The women were in a wine cellar that suddenly flooded because of heavy rainfall. This was reported by the newspaper El País, citing information from local authorities.

In addition to the victims, two children were slightly injured by the mudslide. It is unclear whether the deceased women are related to the injured minors. The identities of all those involved have not yet been disclosed.

No missing persons have been reported. Authorities have stated that the situation is under control and that no further victims have been found.

The mudslide also caused several cars to be swept away, but the impact on the infrastructure is currently being further investigated. There are no indications that similar incidents have occurred in other parts of the province.
