Typhoon Dujuan has reached Japan and is moving towards Tokyo, with wind speeds of up to 198 km/h. The Japan Meteorological Agency had previously warned that the storm could hit the Kanto region, which includes the capital, between Monday and Tuesday. The weather is classified as very dangerous, with the possibility of heavy rainfall, landslides, and flooding.

As the typhoon approaches, extensive measures have been taken to protect the population. Approximately 1.6 million people in Tokyo and neighboring prefectures have been advised to evacuate their homes as a precaution. Authorities have issued extreme weather warnings for the region to alert citizens to the potential dangers.

The arrival of the typhoon has also led to the cancellation of over 500 flights at Tokyo airports, contributing to the cancellation of at least 275 flights in total, including many operated by Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways. This has caused significant difficulties in both domestic and international air travel.

Additionally, local authorities have imposed traffic restrictions as multiple highway sections have been closed and train services suspended. Travelers in the region are reporting delays and disruptions in transportation. Authorities warn of the possibility of heavy rainfall and the risk of landslides in affected areas.

Media reports indicate that some coastal regions are already experiencing flooded roads and the risk of river overflow has significantly increased. The typhoon, which is the 25th of this season, has already caused traffic disruptions and logistical challenges that are expected to persist in the coming days.

The situation remains tense as authorities monitor the developments of the storm. Residents in vulnerable areas are encouraged to continue following official instructions and to stay in safe shelters as long as the severe weather persists.
