UEFA seeks to drastically change VAR usage

Roberto Rosetti, head of UEFA's referees committee, criticizes the current assessment of VAR.

Roberto Rosetti, the head of UEFA's referees committee, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the use of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR). According to Rosetti, some decisions made by the VAR have "nothing to do with football." He emphasized that evaluations need to better align with the essence of the game.

Rosetti also stated that the current system resembles a gaming console, like PlayStation, and does not reflect the reality of football. Therefore, UEFA is considering drastic changes in the application of VAR.
