Ukrainian forces carried out a massive attack using approximately 650 to 900 drones in the Moscow region, resulting in at least two deaths and several injuries. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, nearly 900 drones were intercepted overnight in various regions of the country, including the Crimean Peninsula and the Sea of Azov.

Reports indicate that one of Moscow's main fuel depots caught fire as a result of the attack, raising concerns over the security of strategic infrastructure in the Russian capital. This strike is considered one of the largest against the city in over four years of conflict.

Russian authorities have implemented restrictions on air activity in response to the offensive, indicating a high level of alert and readiness for further attacks. The drones entered Russian territory in several waves, suggesting meticulous planning by Ukraine for its operation.

Unconfirmed media sources also reported that a significant fuel depot in the Moscow region was ablaze following the attack, highlighting that Russian air defense forces managed to destroy most of the drones before they reached their targets.

This attack occurs within a context of escalating hostility between Ukraine and Russia, as both nations prepare for potential additional aerial offensives in the near future. Defensive measures by Ukraine, including the development of long-range drones, have allowed the country to conduct operations more effectively within Russian territory during this phase of the conflict.

The attack has become a focal point in both Ukraine and Russia and could have implications for the military strategy of both nations, according to analyses of recent events from various media outlets.
