Ukraine-Russia war: Russian strikes on Kiev and Putin's G20 invitation
A Russian attack has hit Kiev, suspending train services. The U.S. Secretary of State has invited Putin to the G20 while the Kremlin rules out negotiations.

A Russian raid struck Ukraine's capital, Kiev, today, leading to the suspension of train services in the city. According to sources, Russian drones targeted Ukrainian infrastructure, destroying two gas stations and deploying a total of 161 drones during the operation.
After a meeting between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky, the Kremlin stated that there are no grounds to initiate peace talks. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed readiness for negotiations, albeit without halting hostilities.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that he has invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to the G20 meeting in Miami. Rubio expressed hope that Putin would accept the invitation, aimed at discussing an energy ceasefire and grain issues.

Reportedly, following the meeting between Rubio and Lavrov, both countries showed interest in a ceasefire in specific areas, but no progress has been observed in the peace dialogue.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Zelensky addressed the United Nations General Assembly, emphasizing the need to stop Putin and his aggressions, also warning countries that assist Russia.
As conflicts continue, the situation in Ukraine has seen an increase in Russian attacks on energy and civilian infrastructure, worsening the already complex circumstances in the country.
