UN condemns Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia
The UN Security Council has condemned the rocket attacks by Yemeni Houthi rebels on Saudi Arabia and called for restraint.

The United Nations Security Council has condemned the recent rocket attacks by Houthi rebels on Saudi Arabia. In a statement released overnight, the member states emphasized that the attacks by the Iran-backed militia endanger both regional security and the freedom of maritime navigation.
Furthermore, the statement called for the Houthi militia to refrain from further escalations. The UN expressed concern over the developments and stressed the necessity of acting in favor of peace.
In parallel to the attacks on Saudi Arabia, media reported assaults targeting residential areas and displaced persons' camps in Yemen. The UN warns of the most severe escalation of conflicts since last year. In this context, Saudi Arabia remains in the crosshairs of the attacks.
