UN: Global warming to exceed 1.5°C in the coming years
A new UN report warns that global temperatures will surpass the 1.5°C threshold, but there are opportunities to limit the duration of this excess.

According to a report from the United Nations, global warming is projected to exceed the 1.5°C threshold in the coming years. Experts from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) provided this indication within their latest study, considering a potential increase of up to 1.8°C in the most optimistic scenario.
The report emphasizes that while this increase is anticipated, it is possible to limit the duration of the exceedance above the critical threshold. Therefore, mitigation and adaptation measures are required to address the climate emergency and manage its consequences.
This information has been reported by agencies ANSA and Rai News, as well as Sky TG24, highlighting the urgency of taking action to contain the impact of climate change.
