Unhealthy Air Quality Reported in 11 Areas of Sarawak
Several areas in Sarawak are experiencing unhealthy air quality as haze conditions worsen, with rising API readings.
As of August 11, a total of 11 areas in Sarawak have recorded Air Pollutant Index (API) readings classified as unhealthy, ranging from 101 to 200. This marks an increase from the nine areas reported just a day earlier, according to local sources.
The areas affected include Kuching, Samarahan, Serian, Sri Aman, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu, Samalaju, and additional locations such as those mentioned in earlier reports.
The rise in unhealthy air quality levels has been attributed to transboundary haze, with environmental conditions worsening recently, as detailed by multiple reports.
