The United States successfully evacuated 18 million barrels of crude oil from the Strait of Hormuz while bombings occurred in the region, CNN reported. The operation involved the escort of 40 vessels by U.S. forces, indicating a significant effort to ensure the flow of oil amid rising tensions in the area.

U.S. Vice President JD Vance highlighted that oil flow through the Strait of Hormuz has returned to levels seen prior to the outbreak of war with Iran. According to Vance, approximately 15 million barrels were reported to have been transported during this time.

Before the outbreak of conflict in Iran, it was estimated that about 20 million barrels of oil transited daily through this vital route. The escort strategy adopted by the United States aims to maintain the security of commercial vessels in light of recent attacks.

Vance also ruled out the possibility of negotiating with Tehran while aggressions continue, emphasizing Washington's firm stance on managing the current crisis in the Strait.
