This Sunday (6), various regions of Brazil are experiencing unstable weather forecasts, with rain and thunderstorms expected in Mato Grosso, according to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet). In Cuiabá, brief rain showers and strong winds are anticipated, accompanied by a significant drop in temperatures. Inmet has issued a yellow alert, indicating potential danger with precipitation amounts of 20 to 30 millimeters per hour and up to 50 millimeters throughout the day.

In Palmas, Tocantins, a quick rain shower accompanied by wind was recorded early Saturday evening (5). The rain, which lasted about 10 minutes in the city's central area, is also attributed to a forecast of many clouds and the possibility of more rain showers on Sunday night, with temperatures ranging between 22°C and 35°C, according to Inmet.

In the Central-South region, a cold front is causing a drop in temperatures, particularly in Belo Horizonte, where rain has already been recorded since early morning, accumulating 9 mm in the Barreiro area. A sharp decline in temperatures is expected after a warm Saturday, with highs reaching 34.3°C. The municipal Civil Defense warns of the possibility of heavy rains throughout the day.

Additionally, the Serra Gaúcha region has also been in the spotlight, where snow fell in at least two municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul, Cambará do Sul and São José dos Ausentes, with confirmation from Climatempo Meteorologia. The snow was recorded on the afternoon of Sunday (6) and has contributed to an intensified cold feeling in the Southeast region of Brazil.

Satellite imagery reveals areas of increased cloud cover over the east and center of Brazil, along with storm cells in several regions of the Central-West and Amazon. Weather conditions are influenced by the arrival of a polar air mass, favoring frost in several locations in the South of the country. The rains affecting the Southeast and Central-West are a continuation of this cold front.

Therefore, on this day, the population should prepare for significant weather variations, with special precautions in areas affected by heavy rain and snow.
