US Navy's New Aircraft Carrier Arrives in the Middle East
The US Army announced the replacement of the USS Abraham Lincoln with the George Washington in the Middle East region.

On October 20, the US Army announced the arrival of the new aircraft carrier George Washington in the Middle East. This deployment comes as a replacement for the USS Abraham Lincoln, which has been stationed in the region since November 2025.
The USS Abraham Lincoln's deployment lasted several months and raised concerns about its crew. The decision to replace it was linked to the extended mission due to the conflict with Iran.
The George Washington had already been operational in the Arabian Sea before arriving for its new mission in the Middle East. According to reports, the transition was completed last Wednesday, prior to the official announcement.

The USS Abraham Lincoln, for its part, played support and monitoring roles in the region, and its presence was seen as a strategic measure during a time of geopolitical tensions.
Attention now turns to the activities of the George Washington and any updates related to maritime security in the area, particularly in the context of the ongoing conflict.
