US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have arrived in Moscow to discuss a potential peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine. According to reports, the two envoys, sent by President Trump, were welcomed by President Vladimir Putin to discuss the current developments in the Ukraine conflict.

According to a statement from a Kremlin spokesman, Putin has ordered that there be no further attacks on Kyiv for three days. This could provide an important framework for the negotiations that took place between the US envoys and the Russian leader.

In a released video at the start of the talks, Putin stated that difficult questions must be discussed. He intends to explain the situation from his perspective to the US envoys.

The talks in Moscow have now concluded. Witkoff and Kushner are expected next in Kyiv, where they will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss the current situation and possible solutions to the conflict.

Zelensky confirmed that he met with the US negotiators in Kyiv on Sunday. He informed about the meeting's proceedings on the social network X and released a brief video showing the envoys being welcomed in front of St. Sophia Cathedral.

The visit in Kyiv marks the first step for Witkoff and Kushner in their mediation mission. The goal is to incorporate both the US position and information from Kyiv into the ongoing negotiations with Russia.
