US special envoys Jared Kushner and Amos Witkoff have landed in Moscow to engage in talks that are part of the US mediation efforts between Russia and Ukraine. Their arrival comes in the context of a proposal that has not yet been made public, but which may also relate to other geopolitical issues, possibly concerning Iran.

According to information, a ceasefire for mutual attacks on the capitals is expected to be in effect during the negotiations. This step could aim to provide a solution to the ongoing conflicts in the Ukraine war, which have recently become more entrenched.

The discussions in Moscow represent a first step for the US special envoys to resume dialogue with Russian representatives. Following the talks in the Russian capital, further meetings in Kyiv are scheduled for the upcoming Sunday.

These negotiations come at a time when military clashes between the two countries continue. Given the unclear situation and the varying interests of the parties involved, the success of the talks remains uncertain.
