Valencia has decided to dismiss its coach, Carlos Corberán, as well as Ron Gourlay, the CEO of Football. This measure comes after a difficult start to the season for the club, which is at the bottom of LaLiga EA Sports with only one point out of a possible 15. According to reports, the ownership led by Kiat Lim has opted to make this decision in search of structural change.

The Valencia club has communicated that it aims to initiate a new phase in the management of the football area. The dismissal of Corberán and Gourlay also includes the firing of all members of the sports department, such as Lisandro Isei, Hans Gillhaus, Andrés Zamora, and Malek Shafei, indicating a significant change in the team's sports direction.

Óscar Sánchez, coach of Mestalla, will temporarily take over the first team while the club searches for a new coach. Corberán had renewed his contract over the summer until 2028, but his management has not yielded favorable results so far, leading the club to take this drastic step.

As part of this change, Valencia has announced the hiring of Braulio Vázquez as the new sporting director. Vázquez returns to the club where he previously had success and parts ways with Osasuna after nine seasons marked by achievements.

The decision to dismiss Corberán and Gourlay was announced less than 48 hours after Valencia's fourth consecutive loss in the league, increasing the pressure on the club's management. The recent results seem to have influenced this swift decision.

Valencia, seeking to improve its critical situation in the league, hopes that Vázquez's arrival and the change in technical direction can provide a new impetus for the team, although this framework of changes depends on the reception of the new coaching staff and their strategies.
