Valve warns of potential data breach at CEVA Logistics

Valve has warned European customers of its Steam platform about a potential data breach linked to a cyberattack on logistical company CEVA Logistics. This company is responsible for shipping Steam hardware to customers in Europe.

In a message to users, Valve noted that their data may have been compromised. This concerns customers of Steam Hardware who may have been affected by this cyberattack.

Previously, it became known that other organizations such as Ajax, eyewear retailer Ace & Tate, ING, bol, and de Bijenkorf have also been affected by the same data breach. The consequences of this remain unclear for the parties involved.

According to Valve, payment information and passwords have not been leaked, but the risk to users' personal data cannot be ruled out.
