Williams misses 100-meter final, hurdle runners reach semifinals

Christania Williams was unable to reach the expected final in the 100 meters at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham on Monday. She finished eleventh in the semifinals with a time of 11.21 seconds, thereby ending her ambitions for the final prematurely.
In contrast, both ÖLV athletes Lena Pressler and Anja Dlauhy made it to the semifinals of the 400-meter hurdles. Pressler clocked the fastest time among the non-automatic qualifiers in the heats at 54.97 seconds, securing another opportunity in the competition.
