In their Championship debut, Wolverhampton failed to secure a victory, finishing the home match against Blackburn Rovers in a 2-2 draw. Coach César Peixoto fielded players Rodrigo Gomes, Toti Gomes, and Mateus Man in the starting lineup.
The match took place at Molineux Stadium and, despite the team's efforts, the Wolves could only salvage a draw in the end, having let victory slip away in the first round of the competition.
