Xavier Niel has submitted a bid to acquire the magazine "60 million consumers," which was put up for sale following the liquidation of the National Institute of Consumption (INC). According to sources close to the matter reported by AFP, his offer was selected among three candidates.

The liquidator officially announced the government's choice in favor of Niel during a meeting with employee representatives. This decision has been confirmed by several media outlets, including Le Figaro and BFM Business.

Xavier Niel's offer was chosen over other submissions, including one from Que Choisir Ensemble, an association known for its consumer advocacy.

This acquisition comes at a time when the magazine, recognized for its informative role and consumer advocacy, was previously under state control.
