Zverev continues winning streak at US Open, advancing to the fourth round
Alexander Zverev remains unbeaten at the US Open, securing a clear victory over Alejandro Tabilo to reach the Round of 16.

German tennis player Alexander Zverev has successfully advanced to another round at the US Open. He won the match against Chilean player Alejandro Tabilo in straight sets with 6-2, 7-6(2), 6-2, thus securing his place in the Round of 16, according to reports from multiple sources.
Zverev, who is considered a favorite in this tournament, had previously fought through a hard-fought match in the second round against French player Quentin Halys, which he also managed to win in five sets. The victory over Halys qualified Zverev for the third round, where he faced Tabilo.
The field of contenders has thinned out further during the tournament. Local hope Taylor Fritz was also eliminated in the third round. Fritz was defeated in that match by an opponent from the lower ranks, which changes the prospects for the remaining players in the tournament.
Another notable exit was that of French player Flavio Cobolli, who also did not advance past the third round. These resulting eliminations could lighten Zverev's path as he aims to achieve his third consecutive Grand Slam final appearance, as reported by Kicker.

Meanwhile, in the women's draw, the second-seeded Jelena Rybakina and top seed Coco Gauff have both made it to the Round of 16, highlighting the level and excitement in the women's tournament. Rybakina has also advanced here with consistent performances.
Finally, there was a defeat for Austrian hopeful Lilli Tagger, who was eliminated in the doubles second round. She and her partner Sara Errani lost their match against the second-seeded duo of Dabrowski and Stefani.
As the tournament progresses, it will be interesting to see how Zverev performs and whether he can live up to his role as a favorite.
