Um incêndio florestal deflagrou no sudoeste de Espanha, perto da localidade de Niebla, levando à destruição de 4 000 hectares de terreno. O incêndio está a ser alimentado por ventos fortes que sopram entre 40 e 50 quilómetros por hora, agravando a situação no terreno.
As autoridades mobilizaram mais de 500 pessoas para combater o incêndio. Entre elas, 250 membros da Unidade Militar de Emergência foram destacados para ajudar nos esforços de combate ao fogo.
Segundo relatórios, o incêndio levou à evacuação preventiva de cerca de 470 pessoas que vivem nas proximidades da área afetada. Estas medidas foram tomadas para garantir a segurança dos habitantes face ao perigo iminente colocado pelo incêndio.

O incêndio situa-se na província andaluza de Huelva, a cerca de 70 quilómetros da fronteira sul com Portugal. As condições meteorológicas, em particular a força dos ventos, continuam a representar um desafio significativo para as equipas de socorro.
Apesar de o incêndio continuar ativo, as autoridades expressam um sentimento de otimismo relativo quanto à evolução da situação. Os esforços de controlo e extinção prosseguem, com uma coordenação entre diferentes unidades de socorro.
