230 migrants cross the English Channel in a rubber boat
In a new incident, 230 migrants have crossed the English Channel in a rubber boat, marking a tragic record high.

According to the French rescue organization SNSM and British media, 230 migrants crossed the English Channel from France to the UK in a single rubber boat. This represents a new record, as never before have so many people been transported on an inflatable boat.
Among the migrants, there were reportedly more than 20 children, as rescuers have reported. The conditions for transport in such a boat are considered extremely unsafe and dangerous.
In response to the incident, the British government blamed "ruthless smuggling gangs" for the dangerous crossings. However, no details regarding the government's claims or measures were provided.
