The second phase of the higher education admission process runs from August 24 to September 20, highlighting Aerospace Engineering.

The 2026 higher education admission process has entered its second phase, which takes place from August 24 to September 20. During this phase, there are still over 6,000 spots available for candidates looking to enter higher education.
The first phase of the competition, which has already taken place, revealed that the Aerospace Engineering course at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto (FEUP) had the highest application score. The last student admitted in the general quota for this course achieved an average score of 19.50, according to data from the Institute of Educational Assessment.
Results from the first admission phase showed that the highest access averages are for Aerospace Engineering courses. These results reflect the high demand for this field of study compared to other courses available.

With the opening of the second phase, all candidates who were not admitted in the first opportunity now have the chance to apply for these remaining spots. The selection process is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exams, as per established guidelines.
In addition to the available spots, institutions are welcoming applications for various fields of study. This second phase is especially important for those seeking a new opportunity to access higher education, given the significant number of vacancies still open.
At the same time, it is important to note that the situation surrounding higher education occurs within a broader context, where attacks on Kiev have also been reported in Russia, involving the use of ballistic missiles during the night, as reported by various sources.
