Actress Glória Menezes died on Tuesday (18) at the age of 91 in Rio de Janeiro. Recognized as one of the great figures of Brazilian drama, she had a career that spanned more than six decades, performing in theater, film, and television.
Born in Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul, Glória Menezes was born on October 19, 1934, and moved to São Paulo with her family at the age of six. Over her career, she participated in more than 40 soap operas on Globo, excelling in memorable roles.
Among her most notable works is the soap opera 'Irmãos Coragem,' which established her as a reference in the Brazilian artistic community.
Glória Menezes was also awarded at international festivals, including the Cannes Festival, where her talent in cinematic performances was recognized.
