Affected parties claim €256,000 for pollution in the river Lis

The company Águas do Centro Litoral (AdCL) revealed that it has accepted 12 claims from affected citizens, totaling €256,000 in damages. These claims arose following the discharge of untreated effluent into the river Lis.

The incident occurred in August 2025, when a malfunction led to the pollution of the aforementioned river. The claimants assert that the situation caused significant losses to their activities.

In response to this issue, AdCL is reviewing the claims filed and assessing the impact of the incident, with the affected parties awaiting a resolution from the company responsible for managing water supply services.
