On September 4, 2023, the Singapore Air Quality Index saw notable declines, with the 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) exceeding 101 in the central region. According to reports, at 8 AM, the PSI stood at 103, while it increased to 104 by 9 AM. These readings indicate that air quality has moved into the unhealthy range for residents in that area.

Prior to these measurements, other parts of Singapore recorded lower PSI values, ranging from 74 to 87 as of 7 AM. This suggests a disparity in air quality across the region, with the central area particularly affected by rising pollution levels.

Authorities have been monitoring the situation closely and providing updates on air quality conditions. Residents have been advised to take precautions in light of the unhealthy PSI readings reported.
