Minnesota health officials have issued a warning regarding alfalfa sprouts potentially linked to a rare outbreak of foodborne illnesses caused by multiple bacteria, including E. coli and salmonella. Consumers are advised to avoid these specific sprouts as investigations continue.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the outbreak has reached 15 states, with at least 55 reported cases nationwide, including instances in Minnesota and Illinois. Four individuals have been hospitalized as a result of these illnesses.
