Amazon sued in the U.S. for auction manipulation
The retail giant Amazon is facing a lawsuit for manipulating advertisement auctions, marking its third legal action in this context.

Amazon is being sued in the United States over allegations of manipulating online advertising auctions. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), along with 22 state attorneys general, claims that the company secretly swapped auction results for higher prices that Amazon itself set.
The accusations indicate that the retail giant systematically overcharged more than 1.2 million advertisers in a "secretive and systematic" manner, fraudulently influencing the pricing system. The total amount that the company allegedly generated from this manipulation is estimated at $20 billion.
This lawsuit marks the third time Amazon is facing legal actions for behaviors deemed problematic in its business model. The successive allegations question the transparency and ethics of the company's advertising platform.

Concerns over Amazon's advertising practices have been growing, and this case reflects an environment of increased scrutiny on the activities of tech giants, especially in areas involving data manipulation and market practices.
Amazon has not publicly commented on this lawsuit, but previous legal challenges have raised questions about how tech companies manage competition and their pricing policies.
The outcome of this case could have a significant impact on Amazon's future operations, as regulators and advertisers continue to monitor the company's practices.
