Anak Krakatau volcano eruption in Indonesia causes flight cancellations
The Anak Krakatau volcano has erupted, resulting in the closure of eight airports in Indonesia and disruptions in air traffic.

Last Saturday, the Anak Krakatau volcano in Indonesia erupted, generating a volcanic ash column that reached an altitude of 15,000 meters. The eruption released ash plumes into the Sunda Strait, between the islands of Java and Sumatra.
The event led to the closure of eight airports, including those in Jakarta's main air hub, Soekarno-Hatta. The effects were felt at great distances, with detonations heard up to 700 kilometers from the eruption site.

In addition to flights, the eruption caused the suspension of fishing and school activities in the surrounding areas. Local authorities have been urged to monitor the situation, but civil protection has ruled out an imminent tsunami risk.
The volcano, known for its activity, continues to raise concerns among the local population and authorities in light of the disruptions caused by the eruption.
