Andhra CM Orders Intensified Search for Missing Fishermen
The search continues for eight fishermen missing off Konaseema since August 3, with authorities ramping up efforts.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed an intensified search operation for eight fishermen who went missing off the Konaseema coast. The fishermen were on a mechanised boat that set sail from the Odalarevu jetty on August 3, with an expected return date of August 12.
According to reports, the boat last made contact on August 7 while en route to the Odisha coast. Since the fishermen's disappearance, a missing case has been filed at Allavaram, and the Coast Guard has recorded details about the boat.
The Chief Minister has asked the Coast Guard, the Fisheries Department, and the local district administration to continue their search efforts until the missing fishermen are located.
