Former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Anil Chauhan discussed the incident involving the Kirana Hills during Operation Sindoor. He clarified that India did not intentionally target the Kirana Hills area, which is located near Pakistan’s Sargodha, known for its nuclear-related facilities.

Chauhan explained that a loitering munition likely struck Kirana Hills after it failed to locate a radar target within its designated loitering time. This incident has raised questions regarding the operation's execution and targeting protocols.

In his remarks, Chauhan emphasized that a crucial principle of Operation Sindoor was to ensure that India would deliver a decisive strike in the event of an escalation, highlighting the strategic considerations involved in military operations.
