Jean Paul Bredau finished fifth in the 400-meter final at the European Athletics Championships. The 27-year-old was considered an outsider before the race, showing a solid performance but unable to compete for a medal.
Alongside Bredau, a German trio competed in the 200 meters, as well as a hammer thrower, but they also had little chance of success. According to reports from kicker and Der Tagesspiegel, German athletes did not achieve success at the championships.
