Two ships belonging to the state-owned Emirati oil company Adnoc were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported by the state Emirati news agency WAM on Friday night. No injuries were reported in the incident, but no information about potential damage to the ships was initially released.

The attacks in the strait are part of an ongoing tense situation in the Gulf, further complicated by an outstanding framework agreement between the U.S. and Iran. Originally, an agreement was aimed for within 60 days, but progress in the conflict seems to still be lacking. There are no current reports of concrete negotiations between the involved parties.

The international community is closely monitoring the developments, but a solution to the ongoing tensions in the Gulf remains unclear.
