Bangladesh, India Attempt to Salvage Postponed Cricket Series
Tensions following political changes have jeopardized the cricket series between Bangladesh and India, prompting ministerial discussions to save it.
Bangladesh is making efforts to salvage a six-match cricket series against India that was initially scheduled for August last year. The series, which includes three one-day internationals and three T20 matches, was postponed due to deteriorating political relations between the two countries.
According to Bangladesh Sports Minister Aminul Haque, discussions are currently taking place at the ministerial level to resolve the situation. These talks come after significant political turmoil in Bangladesh, which saw Prime Minister Hasina oust the previous government.
The negotiations signify a collaborative effort from both nations to overcome the political tensions and ensure the cricket series can go ahead as planned.
