Bolaños rejects Robles' criticism on the migration crisis in Ceuta
In Congress, Félix Bolaños stated that the Government did not receive information about the mass entry into Ceuta while the PP criticizes the Executive's management.

Félix Bolaños, Minister of Justice, appeared today before the Joint Committee on National Security regarding the migration crisis in Ceuta. During his statement, Bolaños contradicted Defense Minister Margarita Robles, asserting that the Government did not have "prior or precise information" on the scale of the entry of around 70,000 people into the autonomous city. According to Bolaños, the National Intelligence Center (CNI) did not have adequate knowledge about the situation at that time.
The Government insisted that its approach is to foster "trust and calm" among the residents of Ceuta. However, the People's Party (PP) has blamed the Executive for the tension generated in the area due to what they consider "inaction" in response to the crisis.
Bolaños also addressed relations with Morocco, rejecting claims that the future of Ceuta or Melilla had been discussed during talks with the neighboring country. He emphasized that these cities are "as Spanish as Madrid and Barcelona."

Bolaños' statements were part of a broader debate on the management of the crisis, which has generated intense scrutiny of the Government. Robles, who had presented a different approach, was not the only person Bolaños referred to during his intervention.
Bolaños' appearance, along with other ministers, comes amid growing concerns about security and border management in Ceuta, which have been central themes in the recent political agenda.
