On Thursday morning, several bomb threats against passenger flights were reported in Europe. Among those affected was a Wizz Air Airbus A321 that was en route from Milan to Warsaw and landed in Vienna due to a threat. According to Brussels Airport, another aircraft landing safely had flown from Warsaw to Brussels.

The threats involved several flights landing in or departing from Vienna. Reports indicate that Vienna Airport was notified via an email containing a vague threat related to four different flights. Police spokesperson Stefan Loidl confirmed that authorities are investigating the incidents.

Numerous other flights across Europe were also impacted. A flight from Dublin to Rome had to make an emergency landing at a French military airfield due to a threat, while other planes were escorted by fighter jets. The federal police in Belgium stated that, following an initial assessment, no additional security measures were deemed necessary.
