Brazil's Chancellor, Mauro Vieira, stated that Argentina must immediately stop what he termed aggression towards the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The remarks were made in an interview with the Argentine newspaper Clarín, published this Sunday (9).

Vieira is currently in Cali, Colombia, attending the inauguration of President Abelardo de la Espriella. In the interview, the minister emphasized that bilateral relations between Brazil and Argentina can only be normalized after the cessation of insults.

The chancellor highlighted the need for an environment of mutual respect and cooperation, underscoring that the continuation of hostilities would hinder any efforts to improve interactions between the two countries.

Vieira's statements come at a delicate moment in relations between Brazil and Argentina, reflecting recent political tensions. However, the chancellor expressed hope for the possibility of re-establishing constructive dialogue.

There is anticipation that the Argentine government will respond to these appeals, which could influence the future of diplomatic and economic interactions between the two nations.
