Ceuta requests a space for migrant confinement

The president of Ceuta, Juan Jesús Vivas, has requested that the central government establish a 'space' where up to 11,000 migrants, who are still estimated to be in the city, can 'remain confined.' Vivas stated that the situation is 'unacceptable' and 'unsustainable' following a massive influx of immigrants in recent times.

Furthermore, the president emphasized the need for the government to take 'central command' in this crisis. He also requested reinforcements in the areas of Immigration, Justice, the Prosecutor's Office, and the Police to expedite the expulsion procedures for the migrants still in the autonomous city.
