Chega and PS to vote in favor of inquiry committee on national exams

The party Chega confirmed that it will vote in favor of the Bloco de Esquerda's proposal to create an inquiry committee on the digital grading process of national exams. The request from Bloco de Esquerda will be voted on in Parliament tomorrow, as its leadership has announced.

The party Juntos pelo Povo also submitted a request that will be examined in the same session. Additionally, the Attorney General assured that the Public Ministry is working quickly on investigations related to Luís Neves and the alleged break-in at Chega's office.

The Socialist Party (PS) has already indicated its intention to approve the Bloco de Esquerda proposal, with the expectation that the process will move forward smoothly. This decision comes at a time when the opposition is criticizing the government's handling of the grading of national exams.

During the voting session, names such as the Minister of Internal Administration may be called to provide clarifications regarding the management of the reported issues in the exams. The PSD and CDS-PP, among others, argue that the minister has taken responsibility and apologized, asserting that an inquiry committee is not necessary.

If approved, the Inquiry Committee is expected to investigate the chaotic situation reported regarding national exams, and Chega hopes that the process will not distract from issues related to the actions of the Minister of Internal Administration.

The proposal for the inquiry committee into the digital grading process arises as a response to the opposition's criticisms, which deemed that the government has failed to address previously identified problems.
