Chelsea FC is reportedly in discussions with the camp of goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, who has expressed a desire to leave Aston Villa. The club is contemplating making a formal offer for the Argentine player amid his window for potential transfers.

According to multiple sources, Aston Villa has agreed to a deal worth £65 million for striker Nicolas Jackson, who is currently at Chelsea. This transfer indicates the club's intent to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season.

Chelsea's interest in Martínez comes as they prepare for possible movements in the transfer market. The club is also anticipating a bid from Manchester City for Enzo Fernández, another Argentine player who recently won the World Cup.

Martínez's desire to leave Aston Villa has been clear, particularly after a previous transfer attempt to Juventus fell through last week, leaving the player looking for alternative options to continue his career.

As negotiations continue, Chelsea's focus on both the goalkeeper and the midfielder highlights their strategy to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

This development follows a period of significant activity in the transfer market, with Aston Villa closing in on the signing of Jackson, who has spent three years at Chelsea.
