Hundreds of thousands celebrated Brazil's Independence in various cities with civic military parades on September 7.

On September 7, Brazil celebrated 204 years of Independence with civic-military parades in various cities across the country. In Aracaju, the event took place on Avenida Barão de Maruim, where military personnel and students from schools in Sergipe gathered. The ceremony was attended by Governor Fábio Mitidieri and various local authorities, following the guards' review and the raising of the flags of Sergipe and Brazil.
In Boa Vista, Roraima, approximately 880 students from 22 state schools and military colleges participated in the celebrations. The parade began at 7 AM on Avenida Ville Roy and was followed by a march toward the Praça do Centro Cívico, gathering military and security forces, as reported by g1 RR.
In Belém, Pará, around 5,800 people, including members of the Armed Forces and public security, attended the parade that took place on Avenida Presidente Vargas. The event also caused traffic changes due to the large public turnout.

In Presidente Prudente, São Paulo, the parade highlighted the presence of around 200 participants, including scouts and police. The event occurred on Avenida Coronel Marcondes and was accompanied by a flyover from the Military Police's Águia helicopter, attracting a crowd of about two thousand people.
In Porto Velho, the celebrations were held on Avenida Santos Dumont, also featuring military, armed forces, and students from educational institutions. The event took place in the evening, starting at 6:30 PM, due to high temperatures, ensuring public participation in the festivities.
In addition to the parades, political figures such as President Lula da Silva attended events, while Flávio Bolsonaro participated in a demonstration. This year's celebrations, despite the large public participation, were overshadowed by a polarized political context, where issues related to justice and public order were discussed.
