This Sunday marks the start of the presidential campaign in Brazil, where leading candidates Lula da Silva and Flávio Bolsonaro are in a technical tie according to recent polls. The electoral contest sees Bolsonaro, son of former president Jair Bolsonaro, closing in on Lula, who maintains a slight lead in the surveys.

Recent data indicates that 4% of voters remain undecided, suggesting that the outcome could hinge on a potential second round.

The candidates will kick off their campaigns with large events and calls to activism, marking the formal start of the presidential race.
