Climate Shift in Spain: Storms and Rain Following Extreme Heat
Aemet forecasts a significant change in weather, with storms expected to hit the country this weekend.

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued warnings for heat, rain, and storms for much of Spain, excluding Asturias. A shift in climatic conditions is expected to occur this weekend.
This Thursday, temperatures are anticipated to once again exceed 40 degrees in various regions. However, showers and severe storms are expected to impact large areas of the north, center, and east of the peninsula, which could be locally intense, accompanied by wind and hail.
Aemet has described the weather change as 'important', noting that the storms will arrive following the period of extreme heat that characterized the beginning of the week. Warnings have been issued due to the risk of severe phenomena in different areas of the country.
