Colombia is in a state of emergency due to multiple challenging events, including a strong earthquake that has caused significant damage. While thousands of families cope with the aftermath of the quake, local brigades are working to combat several wildfires that have erupted in different regions of the country.

According to the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (Ideam), 340 municipalities are on red alert due to the high risk of fires, prompting strong attention from relief agencies, which are currently addressing the most critical hotspots.

Additionally, authorities are keeping a close watch on the Puracé volcano, which is at orange alert, adding another layer of concern in an already complicated environment marked by recovery efforts from the earthquake and the battle against the flames.
