Cristian Romero has announced his exit from Tottenham Hotspur, confirming that he will sign with Atletico Madrid. This transfer deal is reported to be worth €40 million (approximately £34.1 million).

Reports indicate that the move comes shortly after Nahuel Molina, another Argentine World Cup-winning defender, transferred from Atletico Madrid to AS Roma for a fee of €17 million.

Romero's statement described his journey at Tottenham as not being 'perfect', suggesting a mix of experiences during his time at the club.
