CTT begins process to sell controlling stake in Banco CTT
CTT announced the start of the process to sell its controlling stake in Banco CTT, currently holding 91.5% of the shares.

CTT announced today that it has initiated the process to sell a controlling stake in Banco CTT, in which it holds 91.5% of the capital. The decision was made by the company's Board of Directors, which also indicated that no deadlines have been disclosed for the completion of the process.
This move is part of a strategic reassessment of CTT's options regarding its financial institution. Bloomberg had previously reported, in July, that the Spanish bank BCC-Grupo Cooperativo Cajamar expressed interest in acquiring this controlling stake.
In addition to the sale, CTT also announced a drop in profits and a downward revision of its financial forecasts. The new European Union framework for e-commerce was mentioned as one of the factors negatively affecting the company's revenue this year.

CTT informed the Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários (CMVM) about its decision to sell. In July, the company received an unsolicited expression of interest that resulted in this sale action.
The impact of this decision on the company's shares was significant, resulting in a sharp decline. The difficulties in the sector and the need to adapt to new regulations were underscored as factors putting pressure on the company's results.
CTT is undergoing a period of transformation, with the sale of its position in Banco CTT being one of many changes in its strategy. Adapting to the new challenges is expected to take time, and more information about the ongoing process is anticipated.
