Datafolha: Statistical Tie Between Elmano and Ciro in Ceará
Elmano de Freitas and Ciro Gomes are in a statistical tie for the Ceará governorship, according to Datafolha research.

A survey released by Datafolha, conducted in Ceará, indicates that Elmano de Freitas (PT) has 50% of valid votes, while Ciro Gomes (PSDB) has 47%. The candidates are technically tied, considering the margin of error of 2 percentage points, meaning both have comparable chances in the race for the state's governorship in the 2026 elections.
The survey was published on Saturday (3), the eve of the first round of elections. The result reveals a tight competition between Elmano and Ciro, reflecting the current political environment in Ceará.
In addition, another survey conducted at the same time, focused on the Senate race in Ceará, showed that Cid Gomes (PSB) leads with 31% of voting intentions, followed by Luizianne Lins (Rede) with 28% and Captain Wagner (União) with 23%.

The survey involving Senate candidates was also released on Saturday (3), and shows that, like in the race for governor, there are several competitors that stand out with significant votes. Alcides Fernandes (PL) follows in fourth with 14%.
These polls reflect electoral preferences in the state and indicate a competitive landscape on both sides, both in the race for the governorship and for the Senate, with a slim margin between the leading candidates.
The situation in Ceará reflects the tensions and political divisions that characterize the current electoral race in Brazil, where state contests are gaining increasing relevance.
