The Assembly of the Republic has scheduled a debate on the motion of censure against the Government proposed by Chega. The discussion is set for September 8 at 3:00 PM, as decided by the Conference of Leaders.

The debate on the motion of censure comes in the wake of the case involving Minister Luís Neves. This issue led to the party Chega presenting the motion and prompted the calling of an extraordinary conference.

According to reports, the Conference of Leaders is expected to meet on Thursday, September 7, at 3:30 PM, to organize the agenda. Although there was initial discussion about debating the motion on September 10 or 17, it was decided that the debate would occur sooner.

In addition to the motion of censure, the leaders also decided to postpone the hearing of the Minister of Internal Administration, which was scheduled for the same day as the debate, September 8. This suspension will allow the discussion on the motion to take place without burdens on the parliamentary agenda.

A meeting of the Permanent Commission is also scheduled for the day before the debate, aimed at convening the plenary for the discussion of the motion. Developments in the meetings and the decision on the debate will be closely monitored.

The censure motion presented by Chega reflects the current political tensions in the country and promises to generate an intense debate in the Assembly of the Republic.
